This weekend we went to our house and finally remembered to take our baby Toomers Corner Oak trees with us to plant in our new yard. Sometimes Phil and I take walks around campus and for the last two years, when the Toomers Corner Oaks drop their acorns, we have collected and planted them. In fall of 06, we planted 20 acorns and two grew into baby oak trees. This past fall, we planted almost 30 and we have had 7 baby Toomers Oaks sprout! The two that have been growing since 06 were over 2 feet tall so we decided it was time to transplant them.
We are so excited about having a piece of Auburn with us in our new home!
On another note, does anyone know what kind of fruit tree the next picture is? We have three of them in our yard and aren't sure if they are peaches or apricots or something else...

Thats so fun. I have always wanted a Toomer tree. I know that you can buy them but yall are too clever to plant them yourselves! Good job!
That is such a great idea, how cute. We need to do that before our Auburn days are over!
