4 Months and Emma Cate's Dedication

Saturday, Emma Cate was 4 months old. Hard for me to believe! Here are a few updates from the 4th month. (Feel free to skip them...it helps me to remember though!)

During the 4th month she moved into her room and her crib. Untill then she had been in the pack and play in our bathroom (which that should have been added to my list of baby items I love! It is the Chicco pack and play and it is WONDERFUL! Still use it every day!) She has continued to sleep through the night from 7:30/8 until 6/6:30. She has gotten better with naps and most of the time will sleep for 1 1/2 hours at least once during the day and then take a few more short naps. These short naps mess up her meals and she tries to snack throughout the day instead of eat a full meal every 4 hours...we are working on that. She LOVES her hands and her feet and tries to cram both in her mouth whenever she can. She has rolled a few times, both ways, but isn't doing it regularly yet. She likes to lay on her back and kick her feet, loves to stand and sit up - she does not want you to hold her in a cradle position when she is awake...she's a big girl now, not a baby and will let you know how she feels about it if you try! She loves to ride facing forward in the BabyBjorn. We just love her to pieces and cannot remember life before she came along!

This weekend we dedicated Emma Cate to the Lord at our church...we thought it would be a nice way to celebrate Father's Day, dedicating her in the church her daddy grew up in. It was so special to us and we were so blessed to have family here to celebrate with us. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
