She is holding her head up completely by herself. She can sit in the Bumbo without assistance and when she lays on her tummy she holds her head all the way up and pushes up completely vertically with her upper body. She has started to roll from tummy to back, but has to have her arm slightly already under her tummy to do it by herself. She is scooting all over the place and has been rubbing bald spots on the back of her head from moving around so much in bed. She loves to suck on her hands and always has them close to her face. She still sleeps best swaddled, but has figured out how to get her hands out really quickly and then has a hard time going back to sleep once they are out. We've moved from a 3 to a 3 1/2 hour schedule (sometimes 4 hours). She smiles a lot and recognizes her mommy and daddy and lights up when she spots us! She gets so excited when her daddy gets her up in the mornings and laughs and talks to him.
Her biggest accomplishment is that she is pretty much sleeping through the night now! Last week I just decided instead of feeding her when she started making noises in the middle of the night, I would just put her paci back in her mouth and see if she would go back to sleep. Most of the time she isn't even really awake. It worked! She does still wake up sometimes in the middle of the night, but goes right back to sleep after we give her the paci and usually she makes it from 8pm until 4 or 5am without a sound! Most mornings she wakes a few times from 4 until 6, but doesn't ever cry, just talks to herself. Then I feed her at 6 am. A few times this last week she has even gone back to sleep in her crib after she wakes half way through her naps, but we are still ending up in the swing for the last half of most naps.
She is doing so great and we feel unbelievably blessed!
