Visit from Ali

This weekend we were so excited that my sister, Ali, came for her first visit to our new home! Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Trippers having fun in the pond!

and resting after his swim

Ali picked blackberries

My hydrangeas are blooming!

Phil taught Ali how to shoot a pistol.

She did such a good job...see the can jumping?!

Monday morning we looked out the front window and saw these three deer eating acorns in the front yard. They were beautiful!

Tripp was chewing on a bone on the front porch the whole time and never noticed them. But when he was ready to come in the house and pushed the door open, the deer noticed him.

And a few seconds later, they were off! (apologies for the quality of photo...taken through the window!)

Later in the morning we went out to the cabin and went fishing...Tripp scared all the fish away jumping around in the water.

Then Phil taught Ali to shoot a rifle. Again she was a great shot!

We enjoyed her visit so much and are looking forward to visits from my parents and youngest sister and friend Amy in the coming weeks! Stay tuned for coming house photos including the stool Ali made a precious slipcover for this weekend!

Love the pics! Looks like our city girl enjoyed her weekend in the country. We're praying Phil's test will go well tomorrow.

Love you

Loved that she learned to shoot! Everyone should be comfortable with a pistol and rifle :) At our homes in North Alabama, Levi and I both had deer in the morning grazing in the pastures. They are beautiful till one ends up causing a few thousand dollars worth of damage to your car!

We miss you guys!

I love that I have suddenly earned "city girl" status...I believe I have had a good deal of time in the country in my day :) You going to post a picture of the little blue stool soon?
